10 Books to Diversify Your Shelf

So by now many of you will have seen the #WeNeedDiverseBooks campaign.  The tweets and the pictures have been amazing, but this is really the most important day of the campaign.  Time to put your money where your mouth is.  It’s easy enough to say that you support a cause, but as they say, actions speak louder than words.

Because, as you know, I’m always thinking of you, I have done what I can to make it easy for you to participate in collective economic action by compiling a list of books that you can buy to support the work of people of color today and in the future.  This is just a brief selection.  Most of the books on this list fall in the fantasy/sci-fi and most are under $10 for a print copy of the book.  Purchase links are embedded to take you right to the Barnes & Noble page.

Buy one of these books today, and then come back a buy another one when you’re done.  Let’s keep the momentum of this amazing campaign going!
