So the “State of Black Sci-Fi 2012” blog hop is coming to a close and I hope you found it to be as enlightening an experience as I did. Over the course of the last 7 weeks, the writers on this blog hop have taught me about new authors, new things about authors I know, and given me insights into the SF universe that stretches beyond the worlds that I call home. If you have missed any of the posts, check out the Black Sci-Fi 2012 archive.
I would like to say thank you to all of the authors that participated in this exceptional blog hop for sharing your wisdom, insights, and perspectives. A special thanks to Alicia McCalla for gathering us all together for this cause. Though this is the last post for Black Sci-Fi 2012, we seem to have started something of a movement. The event a Georgia Tech is just the first of several that will bring the author-participants of this blog hop together–perhaps in a forum near you. So keep an eye out for information about upcoming events. And, of course, we will see you again, this time next year.
In the mean time, these are exciting times. Posers: A Shifters Novel is due out this spring and there will be lots of cool stuff leading up to its release. Stay tuned for contests to win an autographed copy of the second chapter of the thrilling Shifters Novels series. Also, keep an eye on my website (www.shiftersnovelseries.com) for updates about the book and the release. Of course, everything can’t fit in the book. So beginning the first Thursday in March, I will be posting original content to get you ready for Posers. You won’t want to miss these posts!
For our grand finale post, we will share with you a segment of a collective story that was first conceived for the “State of Black Sci-Fi 2012” event hosted by the Georgia Tech School of Literature, Communications, and Culture a few weeks ago (See Next Post). The grand finale winners of their very own autographed copies of Interlopers: A Shifters Novel are Colby Rice and Muriel Tarrant. I will contact you soon about receiving your prize.
LM Thanks for participating in this event. I enjoyed our discussions. Next year, I’m hoping you have some good prompts for us. I’ve learned so much from this experience. 🙂
Ha. Well, I have a year, so I should be able to come up with something. 🙂
